So, um, one Sunday during worship, I was just kind of singing the word adoration to the Lord And, um, when I went to bed that night, it, what I had, what I had been singing kept running Through my mind I just kept hearing adoration, adoration So I asked the Lord to give me adoration towards Him And then, like, my mind kind of quieted and then I would lay down to go to bed and it Had gotten to the point in the night where it was quiet enough for me to hear myself Breathing And, um, I was just kind of listening to my breath and the sound of my breath turned into The sound of waves crashing on the shore And, um, it was just kind of like a humbling moment Like, yeah And, um, I went to bed and then the Lord woke me up and He said, He said, when I lay down To rest and escape from the day, and I was like, Lord, what does that mean Like, that's not even a full thought Um, but something that I've learned is that when the Lord says something to you so clearly That it's like you're reading it off of a teleprompter and you write it down So I wrote it down and then I went back to sleep And then throughout the night, the Lord kept waking me up to give me the rest of the thought And by the morning time, it was a full, a full thought So that's what I'm going to share with you today And I've been praying that you would receive it and that it would be a blessing to you So it says, When I lay down to rest and escape from the day, I hear that first breath It's been there all along, but now that everything is quiet and calm, I hear my breath And that breath turns into waves crashing on the shore with the moon's shimmering reflection Riding on my breath The living breath that was breathed there by God He filled my lungs with breath just as he filled the earth with sea But one day the waves will stop crashing and I'll stand face to face with the one who set The first wave into motion When it's time to rest, listen to the sound in reverence and acknowledge the One Who's Holding it all together Let Him touch your heart and with His fingerprint indented on it, you have your purpose Then when rest is complete, you can spend your breaths walking in Love and fulfilling The purpose He put there So that when the day comes, your heart is fulfilled and you can look back at the waves That crashed, shaped Sometimes life moves too fast and I can't hear the waves, but the One Who made them Rested afterwards to show me that I need to take time to listen and remember that fingerprint On my heart
