Then the clouds part unveiling Mrs Moon
She feels the warmth on her face
Mrs Moon looks down on a quiet earth
Only disturbed by the girl´s cries

Why do you walk alone in the night?

So the boy runs south as fast as the trees allow
The branches cuts his face, the thorns tears his legs
And tears begins to drip into his blood
And his heart begins to break

And Mother Moon opens up her light
Guides him through the darkness
Then he hears her cries and he screams her name
With the last of his strength he kneels besides her

As she lay there
He takes her hand
As she fades
He kisses her lips
As she cries
He pulls her to his chest
As she dies
He hears the love in her last breath

Now she is a silvery ghost, a fairy dancing in the moonlight
Now he is a shadow, death walking in moonlight
And the forest hears his dreadful oath
The oak runs through the moonlight
And Mother Moon weeps for her daughter and son
The forest weeps in the moonlight
