My beard's gone shaggy my hair is matted untamed
Boots worn down
And these blue jeans is feelin the same
More holes than shirt
These dark shades hide my shame
Mister you can knock all you want
There ain't nobody here by that name

Now I can't remember what happened the night after last
By my empty pockets it seemed i had quiet a blast
If you ever see em pretty girls again
You tell them I did my best

There was one from Missouri
One by the Rio Grande
They loved it when i sing them sweet songs by The Band
But the booze got the best of me
I hope that they understand

That my . . .

My beard's gone shaggy my hair is matted untamed
boots worn down
And these blue jeans are feelin the same
More holes than shirt
These dark shades hide my shame
Mister you can knock all you want
There ain't nobody here by that name

The door busts open its a red-faced Sheriff Perdue
He says, "Boy, we got six counties out here looking for you"
I said, "Sheriff, I'm right here. Where the f*ck were you?"

My beard's gone shaggy my hair is matted untamed
These boots worn down
This jail cell is feelin the same
More holes than shirt
These dark shades hide my shame
Mister you can knock all you want
There ain't nobody here by that name
Mister you can knock all you want
There ain't nobody here by that name
Name name name
