Such grandiose emotions from so high above the earth
The blues and greens in motion birthing concrete, stirring, restless
The heartbeat of lights so persistent so determined
To stay in the rhythm that it failed to give them

They took to space to see the beauty beneath the waste
A breathing lifeform developing, it's membranes so unstable
Separating entropy and chaos from the precious souls that taverse the surface

Cyan, chartreuse, the umber, the bronze, the steel, the faith to drive the abstract to real
So surreal, so absurd, spectacular how their minds came to be
Evolving their flaws so flawlessly
Expanding internal universes about to tear apart their heads
If it weren't for their skulls they'd be dead
But instead, they collect the all the blood they've bled
To water the crops they've grown in gardens of lead

They chose not to see and sunk further into the debris
They had their heads up in the clouds
But they got caught in the trees

No voice but they're still trying to sing
To escape the strain of being buried beneath everything
No hope but they still find a way to keep
A little bit of laughter in their veins for when they breakdown and weep

They've sewn dreams into the fibers of their weaving
To dedicate their lives to the illusion they're perceiving
They reap their take from broken hands of other human beings
How bountiful the harvest of empty feelings that give them meaning
