Yea Yea Yea
Hood Economics
Come On
Fred Poteat
SYBI Music
You see all this money in a brother hands
What should I do
Buy some Jordan's
Instead of invest in land
Or getting insurance
For my little man
Or little girl
This is hood economics
We value electronics
Instead of hook on phonics
Get an iPhone
Or ride on chrome
Instead of buying a home
They say I'm wrong
Cause I expose the foolishness on the song
But we got to get things right
Doing things like
Teach our children
Financial wisdom
Infrastructure building
Generational wealth
Get check ups
Protect our health
Teach our boys to be men
Respect our women
Minimize sinning
Put GOD first
We destined for winning
And if you listening
You would Jump in
We are in Agreement
When will the people ever know
How many times GOD got to show
I know you are rich but the people poor
What will you do to help them grow
Oooweee
Look at me
I got Louis V
Gucci
Head to feet
Popping Dom P
But act strangely
When it comes to assisting family
I feel so great cause they needing me
I'm up so high
While They beneath me
Check out my ride
As I creep through the streets
Won't even speak
Cause I know someone gone
ask me for cheese
Man negro please
All we seeing you do
Is stunting
But when it comes to helping
You ain't doing nothing
All the funds you brag you make
You can do something
At least invest in yungens
Start a program
To help teach us something
Feed the poor
Eliminate stomach rumblings
Help us to carry the ball
So we stop fumbling
Speak wisdom on the microphone
Stop mumbling
That's all we really wanting
When will the people ever know
How many times GOD got to show
I know you're rich but the people po
What will you do to help them grow
Why I got to be high
Just for a brother to ride
Why I can't get rich
Without them thinking
I'm pushing bricks
They think they're slick
Hoping that I slip
Instead it's flick of the wrist
Swish
Life's a twist
Like a ride at six flags
It's a red flag
If she gets mad
Cause you invested the bag
Instead splurging on rags
Man getting things we never had
Spending so fast
Not trying to make it last
Just want to have a blast
Or maybe should I
Chill back
Scale back
Flip my stack
Similar to acrobats
Create own on Nasdaq
Where the billionaire cats at
Put that money back
In the hood
Help us out man
It's hard in these woods
The man looked at him
Said I wish i would
When will the people ever know
How many times GOD got to show
I know you're rich but the people poor
What will you do to help them grow
What will you do to help them grow
What will you do to help them grow
What will you do to help them grow
What will you do to help them grow
The dictionary definition of social justice is the idea that
Every person deserves equal
Economic
Political
And social rights and opportunities
To me
Social Justice goes beyond the dictionary though
And into our communities
To grow what I like to call
Social Justice Warriors
It's time to go beyond the golden rule
Of treating others the way you wish to be to treated
And using every tool at your disposal
To ensure that those around you are
Protected
Encouraged
And offered access to the
Resources they need to
Grow
Succeed
And open doors of opportunity for those behind them
You see to me social justice just looks like abiding by what
CHRIST
Instructed HIS people to do through the Prophet Isaiah
Do good
Seek Justice
Correct Oppression
Bring Mercy to the fatherless
And plead the Widow's cause
GOD tells us that blessed are those who further justice
And who engage in Righteousness at all times
So in this day and age in which we're constantly surrounded by
Division
Hate
Privilege
Violence
And Fear
We must rise above and usher in environments of
Unity
Love
Accountability
Peace and
Confidence
No matter your background
YOU can make a positive difference
By educating those around you
Calling out
Injustice and holding those sworn to lead and protect you
Accountable
YOU can change the lives around you for the better
So encourage the young people you encounter to
Raise their voices in the name of what's right
Because the battle for social justice is a life long fight
My challenge to you is this
What are YOU doing to become a
Social Justice Warrior in your community
