They say they don't love you, they say that you stupid

Maybe acting nice for years just to hide that they fake

I've seen it happen time and time again to my friends
And always been the one to say that I'll support you
But I never expected to be the one that needs support
One phone call will show you what depression really can do

Now I'm stuck in the bedroom swimming in my own thoughts
Wondering why my parents love me and they don't disown me
I'm two seconds from calling the police to the crib
Cause I see a murderer in my mirror planning to end me

I had to get out of bed before it was too late
Had to leave my old self and my mistakes in the past
It wasn't easy facing my demons head on
But I applied my fists to their horns and beat their ass

They still came back, started clouding my vision
Making it hard just to see and reach the heavens and stars
And the sun, so my days are always looking so dark
Like the night, so cold and black, just like our hearts

But what about you? Have you felt this yet
Has your world ended from actions that make you wish you were dead
Have you felt this pain that millions will feel
Has someone given you trauma for what you got to deal

Or maybe you were blessed with the perfect life
Or maybe you just as evil as the devil can bear
Have you ever been through this in your life on either side

It's in our nature to protect ourselves from everyone

We're all just misunderstood monsters in this life
We're all just humans that just wanna be loved
But we still hurt even when we didn't mean to
We made them feel pain and all of the above
