He has no plan but to stick it to the man
He's carryin' a gun in the back of his pants

He's got some boots and roughed up fists
And he walks around like he's up to bat
He drives them wild in a seesaw style
But she would have none of that
He said oh dear why won't you believe
He said cause your impossible to please
She said I'll be back in a few
He said that's cool cause I'll be gone too

The travelin man started a band
Rock n roll was the way to go
But the cops found all their contraband
And sent them running down the road
Along the way he found a maid
And married her the next day
They had a kid and raised him well
I did not know what to say
Till one night he never came home
I guess he wanted to be alone
Standing in a puddle
He began to mumble

The travelin man on the road again
Said he'd like to bargin
Although he has nothin
He pretends that's it's somethin
And begs others to see it to
Anyone foolish enough to follow
Will join him in the midst of the garden
Stumped by his mad lib sorrow
You start to see a clue
A hand written note
With a rather silly quote
From Andrew Jackson to Ben Franklin
The travelin' man has been born again
He's washed his hands and turned away from sin
