Fred Webb

Frederic E. Webb (1853–1917) was a British Classic winning jockey. Webb was apprenticed to trainer Mathew Dawson at Heath House, Newmarket. His first major victory was the 1869 Cesarewitch Handicap on Cherie. He finished the season with 27 wins. His 1873 Derby win on James Merry's Doncaster was unexpected. He was only booked for the ride on the morning of the race because the intended jockey James Snowden was too drunk. Later in 1873, he won the Middle Park Stakes on Newby. In 1877 his six wins included the Northumberland Plate, the Goodwood Cup and the Doncaster Cup on Hampton. Webb's other Classic success came in 1881 with Peregrine in the 2,000 Guineas. A long way from home, Can't get back on my own
I Need guidance, he speakin' to me when I'm silent
Drown the noise listen to my intuition baby
I can tell you ain't for me by the actions you taken
Stop all that cakin', I could tell you fakin'
Believe in me, history in the making
I do it nice, use my time to do it right
You talkin' big on them blogs you just all hype
Afraid to fight, afraid of this thang called life
How many times I got to say that the Summer's mine?
God lives in me, so I got to shine
Crossing boundaries, til' the end of time
The limit is my mind, I free it every time
The Revolution baby, will be televised
Through black and brown eyes, yea my guys
Black Kings and Queens, We on the rise
I'm on the come up, don't see me coming
Know my worth can't take it from me
I get up early, I'm on my knees Lord please
This world is crazy, Pray on the daily
I been grinding baby I been shining lately
Got no time for playing destiny is waiting
Got me motivated, got no time for patience
All my life been waiting greatness in the making
Private affirmations private conversations
Wassup with all this hate? You ain't original
You just mad cause' I'm me and not a replica
I build things, heal things
Invest in myself so the money got to grow
You still playing hoes like it's fun games
She gon' catch you slipping end up on that front page
You's a weak end, I got heart for days
Stay on my grind, til' this rapping pay
I know they watching me, this ain't The Truman Show
I be dropping gems, through my flows
No ceiling though, Like I'm Lil' Wayne
You niggas staring hard I can't feel yo' window pain
I change thangs, don't believe it
I took enough losses, this winning season
For many reasons, I got to get mine
I've been overlooked, for the last time
I'm on the come up, don't see me coming
Know my worth can't take it from me
I get up early, I'm on my knees Lord please
This world is crazy, Pray on the daily
I been grinding baby I been shining lately
Got no time for playing destiny is waiting
Got me motivated, got no time for patience
All my life been waiting greatness in the making
Private affirmations private conversations
I'm on the come up, don't see me coming
Know my worth
I'm on the come up, don't see me coming
Know my worth
I'm on the come up, don't see me coming
Know my worth
I'm on the come up, uh they see me coming
