I'm floating through eternity nervously on a space rock
In an ever expanding universe like a cakewalk
Withdrawn in by my compulsion
To exist in my head like I'm my best friend
I live on a day to day basis
Some days I share my grace, other days I'm faceless
I'm staring down a barrel of my second act
When the triggers pulled it's too late to react
So throw me off into the void where the nothingness is everything to help me find my voice
I'll float forever even when my suit loses pressure
My better half can still co-exist with my endeavors
Family is treasure
And I don't know no lesser
Losing a piece - a piece to your fam
Can really make you question your peace as a man
Like it's been over half a year since your soul appeared
In heaven but you left us here to witness your ascension
No grudges though, I won't budge if those same crutches close in with clutches shown
I'll do all I can while I'm watching the apocalypse unfold via Instagram
But until that first nuke
I'll be busy digging holes to see if I can find the root
I look forward as I step toward
Everything I could be if I live by these four words
I can do it
Too simple to just say
Thoughts congruent with what I want to achieve today
I lead the way cuz I used to be led astray to hell to face the rebel yells that tried recruiting me
I live in solace now knowing I defeated every evil being that's been thrown at me since a fetus
The fight continues, my minds the venue
The openers the devil, the headliners an angel
Holy wars ramble on inside my head
While I crack a brew, zone out and bump Megadeth
As I transition to sleep I hear the drum in the beat
Urging me to come to my feet and then it speaks
You are not your past self and looking in that rearview clearly won't help
