I'll concede, that leadership had merit,
and I'll have to give some credit, that it brought stability.
But with mass communications,
They got ideas above their stations,
and then assumed oligarchy
made an ass of you and me

But for the first time , ever in history
A possibility, of restoring what we once did have,
A meritocracy
A new ubiquity, of a great diversity, and general selectivity

Though some say, the technology's not liberating,
It is in fact debilitating, harshest control we've ever seen.
But we could make some new revisions
And with some open sourced precision
A bit congress there could be
A commons for humanity

Cos for the first time ever in history
The future's ours to seize my friends
within this technology.
Don't be no Wylie Coyote, and just give up so easily
Don't be persuaded by the fears they have, of our net neutrality

Beware of new deceptions,
They'll play on our perceptions
And they'll attempt to intervene.
Because they can't project their memes

For the first time, ever in history
No editors for what is newsworthy
a view from all sides at the scene
Unlimited discussion, of all possible repercussions
A new ubiquity, A possibility
