You head to the pantry and behind the Chex-Mix
All that you find is a bag of stale chips
The craving is strong, control is weak
Like the urge to skinny dip when you're in Bent Creek
You take your snack back to the couch to chill
Corn chips crumbs and salsa spills
Don't worry about it now, clean it up in the morning
That's why we live in the world that's meant for exploring

You veg on the couch and your mind starts to drift
Remembering the single-track and the late shift
It takes something like a bike to get some elevation
Living in the hood's kind of like a staycation
Rock gardens, roots, rock drops and table-tops
Log rides, pump tracks, gaps and bunny-hops
Sometimes I like to ride with no helmet and flip-flops
Listening to hip-hop, down Hickory Top
I stay on the bike and avoid a crash
If I'd ride to the hub I'd probably get a shimmy rash
Some people like Strava or have an altimeter
I focus on cray when I ride at the Riveter
Grab on your handlebars and grab on your grips
It's a long ride, when you're on the late shift
And when it's all over, bend down and take a knee
