By a Ghoul  a kind of ghoulish vampire

Twenty men and a priest armed and with
A crucifix they entered
To capture the vampire

One day a good man was attacked
By a vampire
In one of the
Western entrances to the church

The vampire was cornered in the crypt
Of the church of Amiens and  the entire
Population surrounded the place

Thinking of escaping he became a
well-known citizen which did
Not prevent him from being
Hanged and dismembered
The citizen whose form
The vampire had assumed

He was so affected by the sinister
Episode that he no longer
Appeared in Amiens and his fate

Remains a mystery
