I'm comfortable with where I am, I can stand without a crutch
So why am I looking to the past for a blast of such and such

Got pressures, other people can't see, we should be striving to have better days

The grass is greener on the opposite side
That means that most of us are not really enjoying the ride
That's by design, when corporations controlling our lives
Always wanting, while we're needing something new to buy
Maybe these are the better days, if we can put that shit away
It's just distractions basking in the marketing masquerade
Got us reminiscing about the past, past tense while they get paid
Make your life great again, it's a con it's a charade

Cause we had a good thing, going on ya know
What are we doing, giving them the power

They get the power and they take advantage of it
We want good things, better than we got
Do we deserve them, well I don't know about that
We want good times, cause it's been so hard
Everyone just wants some better days
