The Subways

The Subways are an English indie rock band. Their debut album, Young For Eternity, was released on 4 July 2005 in the UK and 14 February 2006 in the U.S. Their second album, All or Nothing, was released on 30 June 2008 and their third album Money and Celebrity debuted on the 19 September 2011. Tick tock
Borne away now
On the wings
Of a bold sound
You are a half of me
Always the best side
Turn it up, chérie
Here comes my fave line

Spin the vinyl, drop the needle, let me play your song
When I hear your heavenly voice, I believe in God
God is nothing to the melody your falsetto brings
When I'm lonely, always lonely, it's everything

Outside
Another snowstorm
Tell me
I've got to know more
You're the kick I swear I'm always needing
Smokey's "Tracks of my Tears" has got me bleeding

Spin the vinyl, drop the needle, let me play your song
When I hear your heavenly voice, I believe in God
God is nothing to the melody your falsetto brings
When I'm lonely, always lonely, it's everything

Give me sanctuary in the space between my ears
Give me all the spells I need to cast away my fears
Bliss is nothing to the melody your falsetto sings
When I'm lonely, always lonely, it's everything

I feel the pressing of the black wax
It's a blessing to hear the multitrack
Gimme Cobain, Annie, Shirley Manson
Hendrix, Fiona Apple, Madonna, Aretha Franklin
