So we could keep on fighting for the good on Earth for plenty

I’ve been carrying on my late mom’s journey
Despite the vicious obstacles keeping around
Crippling anxiety habitating on my brain that I had to keep kicking around
Dealing with my thoughts on my own cause no one really knew how to keep on coming around
Leaving me in a ditch without any tools for refuge or just to come fix up my crown
Cause my brain is insane
When a day is just drained
Of a face to remain
In my life
So I’m safe
But I just gotta go and embrace
What was left for me in it’s own grace
That my mom was still there in my heart and in face
Gotta harness that
Gotta live my life always knowing that
When I slip in feelings she will bring me back
To my feet when her memories start flash
Cause she raised me to be this way
Walking in the park I’d say
All the stupid shit that children spit to try to find their way
Sitting down in bookstores
She worked just like a mentor
Teaching me to be an independent thinker 
That could break the mold of all the world leaders
That just want control of their people
Stopping and frisking all of the children
Of the black communities that have thrived despite all of the evils
Pushed on them by the leaders who capitalize off of the weakened
I just want her to be proud of me
So I gotta live my life with her sense of morality
It’s time to utilize the skills that she gifted in her teachings
Time to grow out the ground I’m no longer a seedling
I gotta try to use my power to effect a better change
I know I can’t expect this now but I won’t refrain
From leading my life like she would and treat the world of it’s pain
