Jordi Baizan is a first generation American and native Texan songwriter. He has played hundreds of shows in the US, Canada, and Europe and released his sixth record in February of 2022. His songwriting, which American Songwriter (USA) has called “exquisite”, has garnered him recognition from several prestigious songwriting competitions including the Grassy Hill Kerrville New Folk Songwriting Competition, the Songwriter Serenade Competition, and the South Florida Folk Festival’s Singer/Songwriter Competition. Signed in 2019 by Berkalin Records, label owner Brian J. Kalinec says "Jordi's songs convey authenticity perfectly intertwined with memorable melodies. His unique voice and his stories draw you in from the beginning, and you can't wait to hear the next page.” Jordi’s 2019 album, Free and Fine, inspired Lonestar Time (Italy) to welcome Jordi “into the great family of true troubadours”. His latest album, The Love in You (2022), reached both the Folk DJ (USA) and Euro-Americana (Europe) charts at its release in February.

Tony hated fifth grade and his hand-me-down clothes
Clara made his heart race, but she didn’t know
Until a bully pushed Clara up against the playground fence
And Tony crashed a bat into that tough guy’s head

Tony got older and married too young
He felt his only daughter Mia was his last chance at love
But she grew up wild and died in a heroin den
Tony’s heart went black and his mind put the law in his hands

Before the roses had dried on the funeral wreath
Tony loaded the shotgun and the AR-15
He knew exactly what he had to do        
He tracked down the dealer who was sitting at home.
The bastard had no clue he didn’t have a long
‘cause there’s going to be trouble when an angry dad’s coming for you

A broken tail light / put a halt /  to Tony’s obsession
The routine traffic stop led to charges of illegal weapons possession
He got four years, but with the Lord’s help, he’ll serve two
But Jesus won’t stop him from seeing that dirty job through
