Major Mugisho

Singer-Songwriter-Composer-Producer Major Mugisho, aka Serge Mugisho, is now a Canadian resident, but his journey to Canada was not a simple one. Born in the war-torn Democratic Republic of the Congo, when he was only one, Mugisho’s family was forced to flee and for the next 7 years were refugees, moving to ten different African countries before coming to Canada. Major’s musical talent comes from his late father, who was a great guitar player and musician but unfortunately died when Major was an infant. Even though Major Mugisho faced hardships that most children never experience, he somehow managed to develop his musical talent along the way. While living in South Africa, he joined a local church choir, eventually becoming the leader and teaching others how to play piano and sing. Mugisho is currently a full time Musician, Music Producer, keyboard player and singer in Vancouver. Major Mugisho’s biggest goal is to be able to inspire people through his Motivational Gospel Music, and to share with others what he has learned throughout his life. His infectious optimism already sets an example of what one can endure, and come out the other end even stronger than before.
