MC LOGIC S2M’s M.C. Logic (Brian Hill) is a thought-provoking and introspective lyricist, representing the DMV (DC, Maryland, Virginia). Unlike many who have come before him, claiming to be logical and compelling, M.C. LOGIC doesn’t attempt to convey facts, or deliver his art in a format which requires a dictionary. His name and reputation stem from his ability to share a simple concept, but deliver it in a manner that causes the mind to brew around its meaning and purpose. He takes the time to adjust the position of each word to fit in a specific place, to generate a first impression of perplexity, followed by a sense of enlightened understanding. M.C. LOGIC was born in Detroit, Michigan, but moved to Northern Virginia at the age of 9, where he grew as an artist by conceptually hearing the lyrics of hip-hop musicians such as Rakim, Ice Cube, Public Enemy and X-CLAN. He wrote his first rhyme at the age of 14, during his freshman year of high school. He dedicated it to a girl he unintentionally made mad. Teenage M.C. LOGIC courageously put pen to paper to write the girl a letter, but instead wrote her a rhyme. When he called and rapped the lyrics to her, she was thrilled and accepted his apology. This was the action that nurtured his curiosity and led him to write more songs. After receiving further positive responses from his peers, M.C.
