TOSIN aka Omo Ebony, an Artist full of energy, ambitions, and passion that creates his own sound based on Afrobeats & Dancehall style. He’s been into music from a very young age. He learned keyboard and drums at the church choir, but singing and writing lyrics at the end got the best of him Despite the fact that he was raised away from Nigeria, his homeland, he was brought up listening to various Nigerian artists that influenced him and helped him develop his own sound. Artists such as Fela Kuti, Majek Fashek, Sunny Ade, Sunny Okosun played a big role. He also got influenced by none Nigerian artists such as Lucky Dube, Bob Marley, Peter Tosh, Michael Jackson. TOSIN possesses an enthusiasm for music that you do not meet easily. Honoring the music of the country of his origin and combining that with more modern sounds and styles he creates a unique sound and style. The lyrics of his songs are written in English, Yoruba (his native language), and Nigerian Pidgin with some Caribbean slang that spices everything up. His nickname is a form of tribute to his late father that had the nickname “Ebony”. “Omo Ebony” in his native language means “Child of Ebony”.
