Peter ‘Speedy’ Zephyrin is a Barbadian soca artist who came on the Barbadian Soca scene in 1982. The following year he put soca fans in a frenzy with his self penned song ‘Bones’ which was accompanied with a dance called the ‘Speedy Shuffle’. However, it was in 1990 that his career skyrocketed with ‘Hold Ya Bam Bam’, written by Ian Greaves. The chart-topping ‘Hold Ya Bam Bam’ has garnered much radio airplay throughout the Caribbean and UK on such stations as BBC Radio One Xtra, resulting in lots of gigs throughout the UK.
