While having a successful acting career, starting when he was 6, with 28 films, Rasheed Ferrache decided to pursue his real passion, music. He learned, at a very young age, to play drums and percussions. He made his first steps in music at age 14, With several hit singles. At the end of his teens, he became interested in vocals and directing studio’ sessions and backing vocals for many famous artists. Passionate about the Funk and Soul Music, he has been called upon as a musical reference, vocal coach and judge for numerous TV shows including “Star Academy, french version of American Idol, Las Vegas Academy, In search of the new Michael Jackson. At the end of the 2000s, he produced and directed several music videos for many artists and shows (Moonwalk Generation, Jermaine Jackson, Fly Away). In 2009, he studied at the American Jazz School Bill Evans Piano Academy and began going back and forth to the United States before settling there for inspiration to perfect his musical knowledge as a musical arranger. Drummer, pianist, composer and arranger, he finally devoted himself to writing his first album in 2018. Influenced by those who inspired him, from Earth Wind and Fire to Quincy Jones, from Phil Collins to Stevie Wonder, and others including Toto, Supertramp, the album will be released in 2020. The first single “I Do”, will mix current sounds and live arrangements to re-ignite the music that moved “the dance floors” around the world. Like the Funk and Soul music brought back by artists such as Bruno Mars, J. Timberlake, Daft Punk, Rasheed Ferrache masterfully offers an album rich in arrangements with music to sing and to dance, reviving memories with a modern sound, that makes you want to get up and dance from the first beat. Album: "INSPIRATIONS" to be released in 2020.
