LV’s musical journey began in Phoenix Arizona on the north side of the dry, desert city. She grew up in a small family with an Irish/Scottish mother, Sicilian father and one older sister. From a young age she developed a love for music with a rather mixed influence. Her parents listened to groups like The Beach Boys, Linkin Park and Alanis Morissette. Her Babysitter, whom she spent half her time with, always played music by artists’ like: Destiny’s Child, Tupac, Biggie, Aaliyah and Mariah Carey. While most kids her age wanted to be veterinarians or teachers, LV knew she was destined to be a pop star for rest of her life. Despite her parents hesitation with LV's artistic dream, and imposing college as the better route for a promising future, LV set out to figure out her own path. She began taking vocal and piano lessons, making music videos with her neighborhood friends and covering songs by the Spice Girls, Christina Aguilera and Britney Spears. Music became imperative by the age of 19. It was then that she started writing her own songs and recording them. Working in different studios, and going to other cities, gave her the opportunity to network with others, and her music career slowly began to grow. Organically, she has been able to create a large fan base and gain the attention of the local radio station in her city, Power 98.3. Over a 2-year period in Arizona, she managed to have 3 of her singles in rotation on the radio. During that time, LV began opening up for all the big name entertainers that would come through Phoenix and the surrounding states, gaining her notoriety in her city.
