Emma Alves. The name belongs to a powerful, young singer/songwriter from Surrey, BC who wants to share her music with the world. Ever since Emma was a young child, her passion for music was evident. With her dad being a musician, there are many memories of her when she was a toddler sitting around strumming the guitar and playing on the piano. A passion for music was in her right from the start. Emma’s first live performance was when she was 9 years old at a coffee shop in Langley, BC. Emma said that when she first held that microphone she was so nervous but had also never felt so alive! She felt that at that moment, she became someone else. She broke out of her shell and knew in her heart that this is who she was meant to be and that she would do anything to pursue that feeling! Now 15, Emma has had a wide range of performances including festivals and hockey games in front of thousands, and other local shows in a more intimate setting. Emma has partnered with Rising Empire Records through their Managed Artist Services Program (MAS) and worked with their team on her debut album, “Every Dreamer” released in May 2014.
