Entirely self taught, Elam Jay switches hats between dancer and choreographer, singer and producer, writer, composer, video director and also as a business man. Swiss-Moroccan personality, Elam is a man from the people, born in a mid-class neighborhood in Casablanca where he lived his early childhood and revealed his talent for singing. At the age of 12 he moved with his mom to Geneva pursuing his studies and his dream to become a complete artist. He was only 16 when, after winning the Mickael Jackson impersonating contest in Paris, he opened his first dance academy in Geneva. Writing, composing and producing his own songs led him to signing a recording contract with Sony Entertainment. The release of the first single, “Wanna Be Free,” created a presence for Elam Jay on the European market. Elam Jay partnered with Coca Cola for their North African territories campaign, becoming the first Moroccan spokesman for the company. The partnership gathered him critical acclaim with the song, Morena, which became a massive international hit reaching over 300 mil people on the MENA region. Likewise, the artist collaborated with a leading telecommunication company in Morocco, who incorporated Elam’s Gnawitone hit song on their successful launching marketing campaign that reached over 50 mil people. Driven by his passion for music, the artist created the music label Rise The Nation, willing to set up a way to success for the next generation of artists. One of them is his own 16 years old daughter Ameerah Jay, who is also just about to release her debut album, entirely written and composed by Elam Jay. “Heroina” is Elam’s latest release, Fire-starter summer hit song, a mix of trap and Latin rhythms, just perfect to pump up any party. The Latin-country guitar gives to the song the desperado fire feel, and has the power to transform any place into a dance floor.
