The Filthy Violets

The Filthy Violets

Some things change while others never do. This project started with a set of brothers playing just drums and guitar in a garage. Improvising for hours that added up to years, the love and passion for expression through music seemed to be the ultimate bond for these two. Blues and rock improvisational jamming evolved into a unique blend of grungy rhythm (filthy) with sweet, strong melody (violets). At the closing of 2010 their ideas and fervor to share them could no longer be contained. Putting together a group to mold, shape and drive this dream to the stage was the only move left to make. Over the next year Cesar, Tim and Jeremiah experimented with post rock, instrumentals. Infusing a funky backbone to all they were doing their sound grew into something unique and unheard. This all working for the benefit of the inevitable reunion of The Filthy Violets. With an open mind, passion for writing and a deep camaraderie the band reformed in June 2013. This time adding keyboardist
