About Move

"Move" is a song by British girl group Little Mix. It was released as the lead single from their second studio album, Salute (2013). It was co-written by the group with Maegan Cottone and Nathan Duvall, and produced by the latter. An R&B song, that moves away from Little Mix's previous melody-led ventures, featuring more quirky sounds with bass synth. The girl band stated that the song is about when a boy on the dance floor is "acting too cool for school" and they would like him to move. The single was made available for pre-ordering in the iTunes Store on the same day as its radio impact without the official single artwork. The song received acclaim from critics, with many praising the group's transition from their previous work. The single received its first airplay in the United Kingdom on 23 September 2013 and was released for digital download on 3 November 2013, a week before the release of Salute in that country. It debuted and peaked at number three on the UK Singles Chart. more »
