Produced by Afrojack, it was released on March 18, 2011, as the second single from Pitbull's sixth studio album, Planet Pit (2011). Rolling Stone described the song as a "club-pop cut with a plaintive Ne-Yo chorus."In the United States, "Give Me Everything" became Pitbull's first number-one single on the Billboard Hot 100. It also became his first number one in the United Kingdom as the main artist. The song has also peaked at number one in Belgium, Canada, Ireland, the Netherlands and within the top-five in twelve countries.
