"I Don't Wanna Be a Star" is a song by the Italian band Corona. It was released in November 1995 as the fourth and last single from their 1995 debut album, The Rhythm of the Night. It was a nightclub hit in many European countries, but unlike the previous Corona singles, it had disco sonorities. "I Don't Wanna Be a Star" wasn't able to eclipse the success of "The Rhythm of the Night" or "Baby Baby", but achieved moderate success in Europe. It managed to reach number-one in Italy and Spain, number 5 in Hungary and number 6 in Finland. In the United Kingdom, the song peaked within the top 30 and on the Eurochart Hot 100, it reached number 23 in January 1996. It is Corona's last major hit to date. more »
