Split

As I spiral into a future I don't belong in The reckoning of an aged change fights desperately to seal my fate I pray to god, do I even believe in a god What then was I praying to It looked like me, but it certainly didn't feel like me Was I simply whispering to spirits that weren't there Oh god, it's not who I am Keep holding on So I'm not lost forever I'm slowly splitting at the seams And though we fall We do it all together I'll have to find out what it means To sow tight this legacy The cracks within my skull begin to leak out onto the pages as I frantically search for a way out of this hell It will not cease I was under the impression if I were to simply let it out of me I may finally experience some small form of release I was a fool to think that enveloping myself in this cycle would produce a different result I reel Blinded by my frustration I brandish my pen and let it all spill out onto those closest to me Only a puddle of ink remains I'm holding on And it's not getting better I have to do what's best for me Could it be wrong to sow the halves together By giving myself what I need I won't split this legacy When did these monsters get so real(nevermore) From Death?
