You’re on the balcony but you’re a million miles away
And when I kiss you it’s the reflection that I taste
Stare at the distance the horizon’s your best friend
These scars ain’t healing it’s too late to make amends.


I dodge the bullet your tongue flies across the room
Breathe in the venom
Til I give in to your doom and gloom
The grass is always greener in another time and place
So you keep dreaming while love stares you in the face


I taste the mushroom chase you down the rabbit hole
An evacuation to the confines of your soul
No rhyme or reason to your restless wanderlust
Change with the seasons I don’t know which side to trust


We cut each other skin grows thicker everyday
Tear at the heartache until you get your way
You’re lucky in this world but you’re still lost in space
What are you seeing while life stares you in the face
