Been on the Moon

by Uriel Wing

BEEN ON THE MOON

I’ve been on the moon and I’m on my way back.
I’ve still got the shakes and my mind’s still a trap.
I’ve been on the moon so won’t you cut me some slack,
‘cause it’s the worst trip that I’ve had.

I’ve been on the moon and I’m on my way home.
I did try to call you, but hung up the phone.
There’s nothing to see here and the weather is bad,
hell, it’s the worst trip that I’ve had.

For what’s the use my love,
of holding on till the end?
Yeah, what’s the use my love,
if you can’t climb that mountain again?

(Solo)

I’ve been on the moon and I’ve tried to get back.
Now daily since June you’ve seen me biting my straps.
The doctor he says this time I’ve got it real bad.
Got it real bad.

I’ve been on the moon and I have seen the earth rise.
And when you have seen it there are no hills to climb.
Nothing to achieve and no love that will last,
hell, it’s the worst trip that I’ve had.

For what’s the use my love,
of holding on till the end?
Yeah, what’s the use my love,
if you can’t climb that mountain again?
Yeah, what’s the point my love,
of seeing it through till the end?
When all that’s left, my love, is a thing that you’ve already spent?
Cause there are no surprises left waiting around the bend.

Been on the moon
Been on the moon
Been on the moon
Been on the moon
Been on the moon
Been on the moon
Been on the moon
Been on the moon
Been on the moon
Been on the moon
Been on the moon
Been on the moon
Been on the moon
Been on the moon
Been on the moon
Been on the moon
Been on the moon
Been on the moon
Been on the moon
Been on the moon

My love! If you can’t climb that mountain again?
Yeah, what’s the point, my love, of seeing it through to the end?
