Dress Song

Race down the street
Pair of new rollerblades on my feet
And I wasn't watching the time, time wasn't catching up to me

The audacity
The sun would go down on days like these
But I didn't see it like that, I just saw blue turn into pink

If I saw that kid now
I wish I could say I'd be looking down
But I've gotten smaller and smaller and smaller and smaller and smaller
I'm getting smaller and smaller and smaller and smaller and

School was a mess
You were wearing yourself out like a dress
How can I blame you for dropping yourself on my bedroom floor the night we met

And you said there's change all around
But why don't we stay the way we are now
'Cause I keep on losing all the parts of me that I used to care the most about

So much to burn
So many shit lessons to be unlearned
And I'll just get better and better and better and better and better
I'm getting better and better and better and better and
I'm getting better and better and better and better and better
I'm getting better and better and better and better and
