Beach House is a dream pop duo from Baltimore, Maryland, formed in 2004. The band consists of French-born Victoria Legrand and Baltimore native, Alex Scally. The group's self-titled debut, Beach House (2006), was critically acclaimed. This was followed by its second release, Devotion, in 2008. The band released its third studio album, Teen Dream in January 2010, to critical acclaim and commercial success.[citation needed] Their fourth album, Bloom, was released in 2012 and garnered positive feedback.
