Lyrics:

Deny the passenger, who want to get on
Deny the passenger, who want to get on
Deny the passenger, who want to get on
Want to get on
He want to get on
Want to get on
He want to get on

To make a chain of fools
You need a matching pair
One hypocritical fool
And a crowd that's never there
There's anger in the silence
There's wheels upon the jail
A black train built of bones
On a copper rail

Company conductor
You need the salt of tears
Falling on a ticket
That no one's used in years
Non-commercial native
It's tattooed in your veins
You're living in a blood bank
And riding on this train

The spirit's free, but you always find
Passengers stand and wait in line
Someone in front and someone else behind
But passengers always wait in line
Angel of mercy
A little mercy is all I need

The finance company
They just don't receive my check
They say they want a payment by Friday
Or they want all-a the furniture back

I went to the credit union
To try to get myself a loan
They said, "I would let ya have it young man,
But we hear that you won't be workin' here much longer

Angel of mercy
Won't you please look down on me?
Funky, I'll kick your ass
Funky, would you please start?
Funky, here comes the man from the finance company
That's a nice car
Nice, Funky
I'll see you later!
My funky, my funky rolls
Well the other night, I had a dream
I dreamed I had a castle and I was a king
But you can't never tell
Lord you can't never tell
'Cause when I woke up my castle was a city jail

Well I met a little gal, I thought she was swell
Like a bottom of a bucket
I really fell
But you can't never tell
Lord you can't never tell
If she's really true or double crossin'
You you can't never tell

Well I thought I get rich, so I bought a Cadillac
The finance company come and took it back
So you can't never tell
Lord you can't never tell
If you're gonna be rich or wind up in the ditch
You can't never tell

Well today you might be a doing fine
Tomorrow you might be a doing time
So you can't never tell
Lord you can't never tell
If you're on the right track or trackin' it back
You can't never tell
In December, the rains came one
Great big package, over-sized
Just like everything else in California
And it came right through
The roof of my room above the garage so
She had me moved into the
Main house into what
Max called "the room of
The husbands" and on
A clear day, the theory was
You could see Catalina and little
By little I worked
Through to the end of the script at which
Point I might have left: only by
Then those two boys from
The finance company had traced my
Car and towed it away
And I hadn't seen one single dollar
Of cash money since I arrived

Stop that!
I went down to the fishing hole
And I set down with my fishing pole
Somethin' grabb'd my hook and it got my bait
And jerked me out in the middle of the lake
Some jump
I got sunk, baptized on credit

Fishin' down on th' muddy bank
Felt a pull an' give a big yank
I holed out three old rubber boots
A Ford radiator an' a Chevrolet coop
I handed it in
For National Defence

Settin' in a boat with a bucket of beer
Hadn't caught nuthin' but didn't much care
I guess I was pretty well satisfied
Had my little lady right by my side
Takin' it easy, yeah still waitin'
Worm been gone off-a that hook for a couple of hours

You go fishin', tell y' what to do
Go set down by the grassy dew
Take a piece of string, tie it on yo' pole
And throw it way out in th' middle of th' hole
Find you a good shady tree and then just set down
Go to sleep, forget all about it

Jumped in the river and went down deep
There was a hundred pound cat-fish lying there asleep
I jumped on his back and rode him all aroun'
Saddled him up and I came into town
People came runnin', lookin', dogs a-barkin'
Kids a-squallin'

Stagnate water's a stinkin' thing
Slick on top and all turned green
When the water goes bad, the fish all run
Sit all day and not catch a-one
Mud wallopers, jewgars
A few little suckers

I waded out to a sandy bar
And I caught myself a big alligator gar
Brung him home across my back
Tail was dragging a mile and a half
Flippin' and floppin'
Sold him for a quarter
Shot craps, got in jail

Early one mornin', I took me a notion
To go out a-fishin' in the middle of the ocean
Throwed out my line, I caught me a shark
I didn't get him home 'til way past dark
He's man-eater, tough customer
Just wasn't quite tough enough

Last last night I had me a dream
I was out fishin' in a whiskey stream
Baited my hook with apple-jack
Threw out a drink, drug a gallon back
Done pretty good till the creek run dry
I give the fish back to the finance company
I went down to the fishing hole
And I set down with my fishing pole
Somethin' grabb'd my hook and it got my bait
And jerked me out in the middle of the lake
Some jump
I got sunk, baptized on credit

Won't you please look down on me?
A military regime in democratic disguise
That lies in all impunity
That takes apart what it took
People years to build
Public institutions
That promised a decent life

Self-determination should be a fact
Not essentially a right

There are the lobbies
Insurance companies
Who want to change the whole country
Into a vast commercial counter
For the pure consumer
The promise to give the generals a better place

Self-determination should be fact
In the face of corruption

[then it goes on until 'rap .. hip hop ...']
Well, I'm not a man appointed judge
To bear ill-will and hold a grudge
But I think it's time I said me a few choice words
All about that demon automobile
A metal box with the polyglass wheel
The end result to a dream of Henry Ford
Well I've got a car that's mine alone
That me and the finance company own
A ready-made pile of manufactured grief
And if I ain't out of gas in the pouring rain
I'm a-changin' a flat in a hurricane
I once spent three days lost on a cloverleaf
Well it ain't just the smoke and the traffic jam
That makes me the bitter fool I am
But this four-wheel buggy is
A-dollaring me to death
For gas and oils and fluids and grease
And wires and tires and anti freeze
And them accessories
Well honey, that's something else
Well you can get a stereo tape and a color TV
Get a back-seat bar and reclining seats
And just pay once a month, like you do your rent
Well I figured it up and over a period of time
This four thousand dollar car of mine
Costs fourteen thousand dollars
And ninety-nine cents, well now

[Chorus]

Coinbase regularly engages with students and
Universities across the country
As part of recruiting efforts
We partnered with
Qriously to ask students directly
About their thoughts on
Crypto and blockchain and in this report
We outline findings on the growing
Roster of crypto and
Blockchain courses amid a steady
Rise in student interest key Findings

42 percent of the world’s top
50 universities now offer
At least one course on crypto or blockchain
Students from a range of majors arе
Interested in crypto and blockchain
Coursеs and universities are adding courses
Across a variety of departments
Original Coinbase research includes
A Qriously survey of 675 US students
A comprehensive review of courses
At 50 international universities
And interviews with professors and students

When David Yermack
The finance department chair at
New York University Stern School of Business
First offered his course on blockchain
And financial services
In 2014, 35 students signed up
Eight fewer than the
School’s typical elective

By spring 2018, the number of
Enrolled students climbed to 230
Forcing Stern to move the class to it's
Largest auditorium this academic year
Yermack will teach the blockchain course both
Semesters to meet interest from students

Yermack says he first developed the
Class because he was interested
In bitcoin and how quickly
Interest in the cryptocurrency
Was growing but other reasons soon emerged
Notably demand from
Companies for people who understood
Cryptocurrency-related issues now
He sees his class as a way to give students
The skills they’ll need for
Jobs in the future

"A process is well underway that
Will lead to the
Migration of most financial data
To blockchain based organizations
" he says "Students will benefit
Greatly by studying this area"

Similar scenes are playing out at top
Universities around the world students
Are flocking to classes on cryptocurrency
And blockchain the "distributed ledger"
Technology that makes decentralized
Financial systems work
Motivated in part by a
Hot job market for graduates with
Training in those fields

Universities, in turn
Are forming research centers
And adding more crypto-related courses
In part to meet rising demand
And also because they now
See cryptocurrency as an area worthy
Of serious academic study

Coinbase reviewed course catalogs at the
Top 50 universities and
Found cryptocurrency classes across a
Variety of departments
Including anthropology and finance not
Only computer science

In fact
The rise in offerings across disciplines maps
To student interest: Students with
A diverse set of majors say they’d
Like to take cryptocurrency classes
According to a Coinbase survey conducted in
Partnership with Qriously nearly half of
All social science majors expressed interest
In taking a crypto class

I was out fishin' in a whiskey stream
Baited my hook with apple-jack
Threw out a drink, drug a gallon back
Done pretty good till the creek run dry
I give the fish back to the finance company
cause he had no place to go
There ain't nobody hirin'
'Round here since all the jobs went
Down to Mexico
Reckoned that he'd learn himself a trade maybe see the world
Move to the city someday and marry a black haired girl
Somebody somewhere had another plan
Now he's got a rifle in his hand
Rollin' into Baghdad wonderin' how he got this far
Just another poor boy off to fight a rich man's war

Bobby had an eagle and a flag tattooed on his arm
Red white and blue to the bone when he landed in Kandahar
Left behind a pretty young wife and a baby girl
A stack of overdue bills and went off to save the world
Been a year now and he's still there
Chasin' ghosts in the thin dry air
Meanwhile back at home the finance company took his car
Just another poor boy off to fight a rich man's war

When will we ever learn
When will we ever see
We stand up and take our turn
And keep tellin' ourselves we're free

Ali was the second son of a second son
Grew up in Gaza throwing bottles and rocks when the tanks would come
Ain't nothin' else to do around here just a game children play
Somethin' 'bout livin' in fear all your life makes you hard that way

He answered when he got the call
Wrapped himself in death and praised Allah
A fat man in a new Mercedes drove him to the door
Just another poor boy off to fight a rich man's war
They treat me just like I was company

Now I'm lost and lonely on this Interstate
My CB's broke and I ain't got a dime
I got a payment due and the finance comp'ny just won't wait
I gotta keep this rig a-movin' all the time

[Chorus]
(Gotta keep these wheels)
Wheels of fortune rollin'
It don't matter where we're goin'
East or west or south to Tennessee
(Gotta keep these wheels)
Wheels of fortune movin'
Keep on truckin', keep on movin'
Gotta stay ahead of the finance company
Gotta stay ahead of the finance company
Louis' finest, just keep a cover like Linus
Stop your ass up like sinus, congest ya 'til you learn your lesson, we blessin'

Now you can find Murphy in a Jag, on a commercial
But at home in St. Louis, yo I's a walkin' like Herschell
I be like (oh, oh, oh)
Wit' a pocket full of bus tickets, lookin' at booties thinkin I must hit it
Why must I live like that, what you expect?
Wozniak designed a computer called Apple I, and Jobs saw the commercial potential of selling it as a product. To finance production, Jobs sold his Volkswagen and Wozniak his HP calculator.
Thank you, frank

... trying to convince each and every member
Of this extremely hip audience here tonight,
That he was nothing more, nothing less
Than a fat maroon sofa,
Suspended in the midst of a great emptiness
A light shined down from heaven (* twinkling sounds *)

And there he was ladies and gentleman, the good lord
And he took, he took a look at the sofa,
And he said to himself
"quite an attractive sofa"
"this sofa could be commercial"

With a few more margaritas and the right company

However, I digress
"what this sofa needs" said the big 'g'

"is a bit of flooring underneath of it"
And so in order to make this construction project possible,
He summoned the assistance of the celestial corp of engineers,
And, by means of a cute little song in the german language
(which is the way he talks whenever it's heavy business)
The good lord went something like this:
(take it away jim pons!)
What's that song on the radio
It's been so long since I've heard a song that I want to know
Every word and every note
What's that song on the radio
Tune me in just this once
Tune me in just this once
Cause there's too much

Static on the radio [Repeat: x 4]

I could easily write by avoiding verdicts and judgments
But then I wouldn't be the one hanging myself over one wish

[Chorus]
What's that song on the radio
It's been so long since I've heard a song that I want to know
Tune me in just this once
Tune me in just this once
Cause there's too much

Static on the radio [Repeat: x 4]

What is it that makes artists feel that
Lack of focus is appropriate
And is accepted as an art form
Please wake up

[Chorus]

static on the radio [Repeat: x 8]

We used to dream about changing the world
With a style that was universal
Real and commercial
Heal and immerse you in the waters
Tired of seeing lost black sons and daughters
But in '94 we slipped a notch, no juice over the years
Couldn't piss the pot
Hip hop went insane but ten years later, back in the game
C'mon, push up the faders 'cause we believe in miracles

I believe in miracles, yeah yeah
I believe in you

And Harriet Tubman would tell us
Don't stop, y'all get down, just rock, y'all get down
We're made of more than this
Don't let 'em define us
Don't let 'em confine us
We're warriors

From the underground railroads we sneaked through swamps
To sit VIP in a restaurant
Hill Side projects, get down
North Side project, get down
They give us platinum medallions to cover our hearts
Keep us far away from the most powerful parts of us
'Cause if they keep us looking outside
Then we won't bother looking inside
I'm too old a dude to be scared of flopping
We're from the old school, this is real hip hopping
And we talk about what we see, won't dumb it down
'Cause I ain't around dumb company
We smarter than this
And we can come harder than this
And do a brag rap on the next song on the disc
'Cause right now you know you're all in the midst of miracles

I believe in miracles, yeah yeah
I believe in you

B-boy, Filipinos, Asians, Latinos, you feel me as I kick this stee-lo?
Get off the air
And so it was
Our beloved corporate gods
Claimed they created rock video

Allowing it to sink as low in one year
As commercial TV has in 25
"It's the new frontier," they say
It's wide open, anything can happen

But you've got a lot of nerve
To call yourself a pioneer
When you're too god-damn conservative
To take real chances.

with a few of dollars or credit card.

Oh! What's up? Where is my doll?
She is lost between a million of channels.
If I tell you won't believe me
I was watching TV
Couldn't name the show
Or the day
But I like what I see and it
Keeps me company while I
Just fade away
Losing track of days

I've been hiding in this room so long
My life's an ode to those commercial songs
And I will love them till the day I'm gone
If there's a screen that's where I belong

I heard it on the radio
I saw it on TV
I heard it on the radio
I saw it on TV
I heard it on the radio
I saw it on TV
I heard it on the radio
I saw it on TV
