The song was a departure from the pure bubblegum pop of their first three singles, showcasing a more mature and mellow, R&B-influenced pop sound. It was less successful than their previous top 10 hits, peaking at #20 on the UK Singles Chart. The single sold 41,628 copies in the United Kingdom. Subsequently, "Follow Me" was featured exclusively in the international version of their 2004 Greatest Hits album.

Atomic Kitten

Atomic Kitten are an English pop girl group formed in Liverpool in 1997. The group comprises of three members: Kerry Katona, Liz McClarnon and Natasha Hamilton. Jenny Frost joined the group in January 2001 to replace Kerry Katona, who quit when she became pregnant although Frost was then replaced by Katona for there 2013 reunion. Heidi Range (who later joined the Sugababes) was a founding member of the group, but left before they secured a record deal.
