About Tumble and Fall

"Tumble and Fall" is a power ballad, the first single released from British rock band Feeder's 2005 album Pushing the Senses. It reached number five on the UK Singles Chart, the group's highest-placing single along with "Buck Rogers". It is also their highest-charting song in Ireland, where it reached number 26 to become their only top-thirty hit. The song features backing vocals from Fran Healy and Dougie Payne from Travis, who both sing the backing vocals in the final chorus. It was revealed by Healy that the band were recording what would be their fifth studio album The Boy With No Name in a nearby studio room. At the same time Feeder were recording what would be Pushing the Senses and ended up working with Feeder for this track. CD1 of the single features the popular "Shatter", which was later released as a single itself after a fans petition was put forward, and was planned to be on the album but was finally not included as the record company believed it wouldn't fit in with the feel of the rest of the album, despite Grant Nicholas' protests.

All this for nothing, yeah yeah yeah
Praying and hoping, fooling yourself
You know that you can give love a reason
Give love a chance

We tumble and fall, together we crawl
Forever we'll be, tumble and fall

Heaven's above us, yeah yeah yeah
Living in solice, I give you it all
Just for a day, just for a second,
Just for the way

We tumble and fall, together we crawl
Forever we'll be, tumble and fall

Life's not the same, since that day you went away
I recall like the drops of summer rain that fell on me

[Repeat: x3]
Come back to me, come back to me, yeah yeah yeah

We tumble and fall, together we crawl
Forever we'll be, tumble and fall
Together we crawl, forever we'll be, tumble and fall

[Repeat: x6]
Yeah yeah yeah

Feeder are a British alternative rock band based in Newport, Wales. Feeder's lineup after signing with The Echo Label in 1994 consisted of Grant Nicholas (guitar/vocals), Jon Lee (drums) and Taka Hirose (bass). In January 2002, Jon Lee took his own life in his Miami home before former Skunk Anansie drummer Mark Richardson, began to record and play with the band before being made an official member. In May 2009 he parted company with Feeder to return to a reformed Skunk Anansie. Since Mark's departure, Feeder… more »
