Jimmy Dean

Jimmy Ray Dean (August 10, 1928 – June 13, 2010) was an American country music singer, television host, actor and businessman. Although he may be best known today as the creator of the Jimmy Dean sausage brand, he became a national television personality starting in 1957, rising to fame for his 1961 country crossover hit "Big Bad John" and his television series, The Jimmy Dean Show, which also gave puppeteer Jim Henson his first national media exposure. His acting career included a supporting role as Willard Whyte in the 1971 James Bond movie, Diamonds Are Forever. He lived near Richmond, Virginia, and was nominated for the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2010, although he was formally inducted posthumously. more »

If the wife and I are fussin' brother that's our right
'Cause me and that sweet woman got a licence to fight
Why don't you mind your own business (mind your own business)
I said mind your own business (mind your own business)
If you mind your own business then you won't be mindin' mine

Now the woman on our party line's a nosey thing
She picks up her receiver when she knows it's my ring
Why don't you mind your own business (mind your own business)
Hey, mind your own business (mind your own business)
I said if you mind your own business then you won't be mindin' mine

Well, I got a little gal that wears her hair up high
The fellers all whistle when she walks by
Why don't you mind your own business (mind your own business)
Yeah mind your own business (mind your own business)
Oh, mind your own business then you won't be mindin' mine

If I want to honky-tonk 'round till two or three
Brother, that's my headache don't you worry 'bout me
Why don't you mind your own business (mind your own business)
Hey, mind your own business (mind your own business)
I said mind your own business then you won't be mindin' mine

Well, I tell a lot of stories that may not be true
But I'll get to heaven just as quick as you
So mind your own business (mind your own business)
Hey, mind your own business (mind your own business)
Oh, mind your business then you won't be mindin' mine

Mindin' other people's business seems to be high-tone
But I got all that I can do just midin' my own
And I'm gonna mind my own business (mind your own business)
Hey, mind your own business (mind your own business)
If you mind your business then you won't be mindin' mine

Rest assured friends, I'm perfectly capable of taking care of my own affairs
And I'd appreciate it if you'd get out and nail your big mouth shut
