Goldberry

Goldberry is a character from the works of the author J. R. R. Tolkien. She first appeared in print in a 1934 poem, The Adventures of Tom Bombadil, where she appears as the wife of Tom Bombadil. Also known as the "River-woman's daughter", she is described as a beautiful, youthful woman with golden hair. She is best known from her appearance as a supporting character in Tolkien's high fantasy epic The Lord of the Rings, first published in 1954 and 1955. Like her husband, Goldberry's role and origins are enigmatic and have been debated by scholars. Cause if we’re just one, two, three
And time washes over me
It knocks me down
And I can’t get up
It knocks me down
Why don’t you talk to me
It’s not how it’s supposed to be
It knocks me down
And I can’t get up
It knocks me down
Can’t you see what’s happening
The world keeps spinning
This can’t be self-sustaining
No one’s winning
I always thought that we
Would never stop being
Good friends
And that isn’t true
That isn’t true
After this all ends
Could we be close again
Well I just don’t know
I just don’t know
Can’t you see what’s happening
The world keeps spinning
This can’t be self-sustaining
No one’s winning
I don’t want to be in a ghost town anymore
I don’t want to be in a ghost town anymore
I don’t want to be in a ghost town anymore
But we could just talk like we used to on the floor
Cause if we’re just one, two, three
And time washes over me
It knocks me down
And I can’t get up
It knocks me down
Cause if we’re just one, two, three
And time washes over me
It knocks me down
And I can’t get up
It knocks me down
And I can’t get up
It knocks me down
And I can’t get up
It knocks me down
