About Maneater

"Maneater" is a song by Canadian singer Nelly Furtado from her third studio album Loose (2006). The song was written by Furtado, Tim "Timbaland" Mosley, Nate "Danja" Hills, and Jim Beanz, and released to mainstream radio in the United States in September 2006. The song's musical style and production were inspired by the Hall & Oates song of the same name and other music from the 1980s. The song received positive reviews from music critics, most of them comparing the song to Madonna and Depeche Mode songs from the 1980s. Outside North America, "Maneater" became one of Furtado's most popular singles, topping the charts in the United Kingdom and peaking within the top ten of the charts across much of Europe and Australia. It became a club hit in North America but was less commercially successful than the lead single "Promiscuous". The accompanying music video was filmed by American director Anthony Mandler in Los Angeles. The video premiered on Yahoo! Music on 6 September, and was given a "First Look" on MTV's Total Request Live on 8 September. The song was included on the setlist for Furtado's third tour Get Loose Tour.

Take it back

Everybody look at me, me
I walk in the door you start screaming
Come on everybody, what you here for?
Move your body around like a nympho

Everybody get your neck to crack around
All you crazy people come on jump around
I wanna see you all on your knees knees
You either wanna be with me or be me
Come on now

Man eater, make you work hard, make you spend hard
Make you want all of her love
She's a man eater, make you buy cars, make you cut cards
Make you fall real hard in love

She's a man eater, make you work hard, make you spend hard
Make you want all of her love
She's a man eater, make you buy cars, make you cut cards
Wish you never ever met her at all

And when she walks she walks with passion
When she talks, she talks like she can handle it
When she asks for something boy she means it
Even if you never ever see it

Everybody get your neck to crack around
All you crazy people come on jump around
You doing anything to keep her by your side
Because she says she love you, love you long time

No, never ever met her at all
(What you sayin', girl?)
You wish you'd never ever met her at all
(What you sayin', girl?)
You wish you'd never ever met her at all
(What you sayin', girl?)
You wish you'd never ever met her at all
(Come on)

You wish you'd never ever met her at all
(What you sayin', girl?)
You wish you'd never ever met her at all
(What you sayin', girl?)
You wish you'd never ever met her at all
(What you sayin', girl?)
You wish you'd never ever met her at all

I been around the world I ain't ever seen a girl like this
She's a man eater, a man eater
I been around the world I ain't ever seen a girl like this
She's a man eater, a man eater

I been around the world I ain't ever seen a girl like this
She's a man eater, a man eater
I been around the world I ain't ever seen a girl like this
