James Travis "Jim" Reeves (August 20, 1923 – July 31, 1964) was an American country and popular music singer-songwriter. With records charting from the 1950s to the 1980s, he became well known as a practitioner of the Nashville sound (a mixture of older country-style music with elements of popular music). I'll always love you like I used to love you when I loved a little girl
Whose eyes were blue whose heart was true whose hair hung down in curls
I'll always trust you like I used to trust you when I gave to you my heart
We'll love honor and obey till death do us part

I'll always want you like I used to want you when your blue eyes made me fall
When the rest are gone I'll still own the sweetest of them all
I'll always love you like I used to love you when I loved a little girl
Whose eyes were blue whose heart was true whose hair hung down in curls
I'll always want you like I used to want you when your blue eyes made me
