Jimmy Ray Dean (August 10, 1928 – June 13, 2010) was an American country music singer, television host, actor and businessman. Although he may be best known today as the creator of the Jimmy Dean sausage brand, he became a national television personality starting in 1957, rising to fame for his 1961 country crossover hit "Big Bad John" and his television series, The Jimmy Dean Show, which also gave puppeteer Jim Henson his first national media exposure. Now a lot of words have spelled the same with a different meanin' you see
But here's a brand new way to spell heaven and accordin' to me
You take a K and an E and an N and a T and you see K why
That spells Kentucky but it means paradise
You take a chicken and you kill it
And you throw it in the skillet and you fry up a golden brown
That's southern cookin' taste mighty nice
It don't cover a lot when you look on a map
But I once studied geography when I sat in my mama's lap
You take K E N T you see K why that spells Kentucky but it means paradise
[ harmonica - guitar ]
It don't cover a lot...
Yes that spells Kentucky but it means paradise
