"Revival", sometimes listed as "Revival (Love Is Everywhere)", is a song by the American rock band the Allman Brothers Band. It was the lead single from their second studio album, Idlewild South (1970), released on Capricorn Records. The song was written by guitarist Dickey Betts, his first songwriting credit for the group. It was the first Allman Brothers song to chart, peaking at number 92 on the Billboard Hot 100 in early 1971. The song was covered by John Mayall on his 1979's album Bottom Line.

The Allman Brothers Band

The Allman Brothers Band is an American rock/blues band once based in Macon, Georgia. The band was formed in Daytona Beach, Florida, in 1969 by brothers Duane Allman (slide guitar and lead guitar) and Gregg Allman (vocals, organ, songwriting), plus Dickey Betts (lead guitar, vocals, songwriting), Berry Oakley (bass guitar), Butch Trucks (drums), and Jai Johanny "Jaimoe" Johanson (drums). While the band has been called the principal architects of Southern rock, they also incorporate elements of blues, jazz, and country music, and their live shows have jam band-style improvisation and instrumental songs. more »
