The Wet Secrets

The Wet Secrets are a Canadian indie rock band from Edmonton, Alberta, known for their signature red and white marching band uniforms, and harmonious layers of horns, synthesizers, booming bass lines, percussion, drums and voice. The band was formed on an impromptu dare between bassist Lyle Bell and drummer Trevor Anderson to write, record and release an album within one week. Their debut album A Whale of A Cow is the result (2005).The band's second album, Rock Fantasy, was released online on Valentine's Day, 2007, peaking at the #2 spot on the CBC Radio 3 charts. Leave it up to me if you can't decide
I wanna punch your ticket take you for a ride
At the point where the bats attack
You don't need to front 'cause I got your back
And you got mine
Most of the time, oh yeah

Follow me down to the bottom of the gulch
We're sippin' rarified air like a wild punch
And I can't imagine feeling more alive
Until they kill our love and crush our vibe forever
The drummer's name was Trevor
As a matter of fact, well

Never took the time just to look around
'Cause when I did I found
The lowest forms of life
Just a waste of skin
They tear you limb from limb
To get a laugh, how nice?

Baby let's surf
The tidal wave of hate
The tidal wave of hate
Tidal wave of hate

Baby let's surf
The tidal wave of hate
The tidal wave of hate
The tidal wave of hate

Cynical villains creepin' over the side
I got a hunch your biscuit got no jam inside
I buried all of my accolades
I got a box full of daggers out on display
And one of these days
I'm gonna sharpen them up, well

Locked in a barrel going over the falls
It's such a long way down
When they're banging on the walls
Even sunny days
You're gonna catch some shade
Where the shadow falls

Baby let's surf
The tidal wave of hate
The tidal wave of hate
The tidal wave of hate

Baby let's surf
The tidal wave of hate
The tidal wave of hate
The tidal wave of hate

And there's no end to
The harsh sentiments that you must endure
Are we supposed to
Just lay down and die?
Tell the bats
They were right

Let's go back to the rarefied air
Say what you want now see if I care
Let's go back to the rarefied air
Say what you want now see if I care
Let's go back to the rarefied air
Say what you want now see if I care

Let's surf
The tidal wave of hate
The tidal wave of hate
The tidal wave of hate

Baby let's surf
The tidal wave of hate
The tidal wave of hate
The tidal wave of hate
