Background Alex John was born in DeLand, FL and is of Puerto Rican descent. During his childhood, he played piano and drums and loved to perform. He attended DeLand High School where he graduated in 2011. He currently lives in Los Angeles, CA.  Career John began his musical career when he moved to Los Angeles, CA at 18. He began performing in local bars at night and working in the day. John would write songs for other artists before working on his own music. In 2016 John recorded his first E.P.''Pilot''. The album was written and co-produced by Alex. Pilot was mixed by Cole Nystrom and Mastered by Tom Coyne (music engineer) and is available on iTunes .
