Hallelujah, the Five Joyful Mysteries
The First Joyful Mystery, The Annunciation
The angel Gabriel was sent from God to a town of Galilee called Nazareth
And coming to Mary, he said, "Hail, favored one! The Lord is with you" (Lk 1:26-28)
We pray for the virtue of faithfulness to prayer
Mary prays faithfully in her solitude
Her “yes” welcomes the indwelling Trinity
May our prayer always be a “yes” to God”

Our Father, Who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name
Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done
On earth as it is in heaven
Give us this day our daily bread
And forgive us our trespasses
As we forgive those who trespass against us
And lead us not into temptation
But deliver us from evil, amen

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with Thee
Blessed art thou among women
And blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus
Holy Mary, Mother of God
Pray for us sinners
Now and at the hour of our death, amen

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with Thee
Blessed art thou among women
And blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus
Holy Mary, Mother of God
Pray for us sinners
Now and at the hour of our death, amen

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit
As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be
World without end, amen

O my Jesus, forgive us our sins
Save us from the fires of hell
Lead all souls to heaven
Especially those who have the most need of Thy mercy

The Second Joyful Mystery, The Visitation
Mary set out and traveled to the house of Zechariah and greeted Elizabeth
When Elizabeth heard Mary’s greeting, the infant leaped in her womb
And Elizabeth, filled with the Holy Spirit, cried out in a loud voice and said
"Most blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb" (Lk 1:39-45)

We pray for the virtue of charity
Mary’s charity in visiting her cousin Elizabeth
Enabled their sons to meet mystically in their mothers’ wombs
Charity is always realized by unity

Our Father, Who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name
Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done
On earth as it is in heaven
Give us this day our daily bread
And forgive us our trespasses
As we forgive those who trespass against us
And lead us not into temptation
But deliver us from evil, amen

Lead all souls to heaven
Especially those who have the most need of Thy mercy

The Third Joyful Mystery, The Birth of Our Lord
Mary gave birth to her firstborn son
She wrapped him in swaddling clothes and laid him in a manger
And suddenly there was a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying
"Glory to God in the highest and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests” (Lk 2:1-20)

We pray for the virtue of generosity
This virtue opens the door to the revelation of God’s presence in another person
And through our generous gift of self, we bow before His presence in other people

Our Father, Who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name
Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done
On earth as it is in heaven
Give us this day our daily bread
And forgive us our trespasses
