A small extract of the single came available online on 16 March 2014. On 16 March, Jérémy Parayre, a French journalist, who originally announced the development of Alizée's sixth album back in fall 2013, announced on Twitter that the single would be sent to the radio stations on 18 March 2014. The single had worldwide release on iTunes on 18 March 2014.

Alizée Jacotey (French pronunciation: ​[a.li.ze]; born 21 August 1984) is a French recording artist, known professionally as Alizée, a registered trade name. Born and raised in Ajaccio, Corsica. She was discovered by Mylène Farmer, following her winning performance in the talent show, Graines de Star, in 1999.
