Roy Orbison

Roy Kelton Orbison (April 23, 1936 – December 6, 1988), also known by the nickname 'The Big O', was an American singer-songwriter, best known for his distinctive, powerful voice, complex compositions, and dark emotional ballads. Orbison grew up in Texas and began singing in a rockabilly/country and western band in high school until he was signed by Sun Records in Memphis. His greatest success came with Monument Records between 1960 and 1964, when 22 of his songs placed on the Billboard Top Forty, including "Only the Lonely", "Crying", and "Oh, Pretty Woman". Well I never felt more like singing the blues
'Cause I never thought that I'd ever lose your love, dear
Why'd you do me this way?
Well, I never felt more like crying all night
'Cause everything's wrong and nothing is right without you
You got me singing the blues

Well the moon and stars no longer shine
The dream is gone I thought was mine
There's nothing left for me to do
But cry over you

Well, I never felt more like runnin' away
But why should I go, 'cause I couldn't stay without you
You got me singing the blues

Well I never felt more like singing the blues
'Cause I never thought that I'd ever lose your love, dear
Why'd you do me this way?
Well, I never felt more like crying all night
'Cause everything's wrong and nothing is right without you
You got me singing the blues

Well the moon and stars no longer shine
The dream is gone I thought was mine
There's nothing left for me to do
But cry over you

Well, I never felt more like runnin' away
But why should I go, 'cause I couldn't stay without you
You got me singing the blues
