Down

Down is an American heavy metal supergroup that formed in 1991 in New Orleans, Louisiana. The band's current lineup consists of vocalist Phil Anselmo, guitarist Pepper Keenan, guitarist Kirk Windstein, bassist Pat Bruders and drummer Jimmy Bower. Since their formation, Down has gone on hiatus twice. To date, Down has released three studio albums, NOLA (1995), Down II: A Bustle in Your Hedgerow (2002), and Down III: Over the Under (2007). Since 2008, the band has been working on new material, which will result in four separate EPs instead of an album; the first, entitled Down IV Part I – The Purple EP, was released on September 18, 2012. more »

Become A Better Singer In Only 30 Days, With Easy Video Lessons!

Long day lay me low.

Lay me low.

Head burning drunk.
I don't need none
That's right man I'm fine
But what I've got to know,
Is have I wasted time?
My eyes are blind
To almost everything you see.
And I'm drowning through sorrow
You recognize me
Be me for a change (fucked)
Under the silk,

In a box of pine,
And that's dying
Not a single other life
Ever will have felt my price
Is it worth the risk to be revived?
And I'm dying, I'm hollow

It won't deny me
Be me for a change (fucked)
On the last day
They'll take it all away
On and outta my mind
Gimme some medicine
And I'm drowning through sorrow
It won't deny me
Be me for a change (fucked)
Yeah, one more time

Long day kill me long
