John R. "Johnny" Cash (February 26, 1932 – September 12, 2003), was an American singer-songwriter, actor, and author, who has been called one of the most influential musicians of the 20th century. Although he is primarily remembered as a country music icon, his songs and sound spanned many other genres including rockabilly and rock and roll—especially early in his career—as well as blues, folk, and gospel. And laid in a borrowed grave provided by compassionate friends 
More than nineteen centuries have come and gone 

And today he's a centerpiece of the human race

I think I'm well within the mark when I say that all of the armies that ever marched 
All of the navies that ever sailed the seas 

All of the legislative bodies that ever sat and all of the kings that ever reigned 
All of them put together have not affected the life of man on this earth
