The production incorporates elements of the New Orleans hip-hop subgenre of bounce music. The song became one of No Limit Records' biggest hits, peaking at number 17 on the Billboard Hot 100 and topping the Hot Rap Singles. 504 Boyz was a hip hop group led by Percy Miller, aka Master P. The group's name is a reference to the area code 504. Originally the group consisted of Master P, Mystikal and Silkk The Shocker (under the aliases Nino Brown, G. Money, & Vito respectively). Right before the release of their first album C-Murder & Krazy were added to the lineup.
